It is with great pleasure we welcome you to the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.
The Redeemer is the only African-American Episcopal Parish in Greensboro, North Carolina and is located in close proximity to Bennett College and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Since its inception in 1906, the Redeemer has dedicated itself to serving the greater Greensboro community. In 2006, we celebrated 100 years in the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina and the City of Greensboro. Throughout that celebration, the congregation affirmed its faith and renewed its commitment to care for each other.
Because of our presence in the community, we are blessed with a congregation of about 130 families. Our congregation includes infants, centenarians, couples of all ages, singles, retirees, people from various countries and, in general, is a very diverse group. This diversity allows us to offer activities designed to include everyone.
All have a place at the Redeemer. It is our prayer that when you come to the Redeemer, you will find a presence that inspires, refreshes and energizes you to join us. We are a church committed to uplifting the kingdom of God, spreading the gospel, increasing our spirituality and assisting in the creation of a more peaceful and harmonious world. We are faithful stewards through our thoughts, words and deeds.
We hope to welcome you soon. Until then, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have!
